2010 Event Shirt Unveiled in Boston:

The 2010 World Run Day Event Shirt was unveiled in Boston at the Boston Marathon Expo. World Run Day takes place Sunday, November 7^th this year. Early-bird registration started April 16^th  - in honor of the historic Boston Marathon.

At the Expo, located at the Hynes Convention Center in downtown Boston, 50 people registered for the event and were awarded the World Run Day event t-shirt. Their names will be displayed on our site with photos in the next few weeks.

Designed by award-wining Australian artist Richard Klekociuk, the World Run Day shirt logo is a vivid and colorful stamp containing the image of a runner’s foot atop the world. Eleven stars fill the sky representing each year the World Run Day event has taken place.

Runners are asked to celebrate the sport of running on the day by promoting the health benefits of running to others and running “their own course” by either themselves or with a small group. Many participants send a monetary donation directly to their favorite charity. Group Events can be registered by calling 1 516 208-7030.

World Run Day 2010 promotional video now available:

Combining inspiring music and a “special sunrise” intended for runners, the 2010 World Run Day video is currently available on YouTube in HD. World Run Day will promote programs to draw charities and schoolchildren to help celebrate the day – along with the many runners that traditionally celebrate the sport of running.
